For more than 30 years Gary has been a professional Production Manager, Technical Director and Technical Supervisor on dozens of productions in all ranges, developing works with the American Music Theater Festival in Philadelphia (now the Prince Music Theater), regional theater productions at George Street Playhouse and Crossroads Theater, site specific work with En Garde Arts, and large scale musical productions for the Paper Mill Playhouse. He has worked on several projects bound for the Kennedy Center and Fords Theater in Washington DC, The du Maurier World Theater Festival in Toronto, and The Apollo Theater in NYC. Gary is currently in his fifth year on the faculty at CalArts where he heads the Production Management Specialty for the School of Theater. In addition to his faculty responsibilities, Gary also serves as Associate Dean, Production Manager and manager of Theater facilities and operations for the School of Theater. As The production Manager for The Center For New Performance Gary has managed several productions of “the Daughter Of A Cuban Revolutionary” by Marisa Chibas, in LA at the RedCat Theater, in New York and Miami and most recently at Teatro Experimental at the International Book Fair in Guadalajara, Mexico. Gary is now expanding his base of communication to the internet because he believes there is a message here that he would like to share with colleagues, friends, interested people, CalArts Alums, current and future students. He is married and lives with his wife Cheri who is retired as a payroll accountant for film and TV in Valencia, CA. They receenlty movred to the Pocono Mountains PA. Their son Evan is The owner of a restaurant and inn in PA.
